Today we popped in to catch up with Lisa Hillan, Progamme Manager of Youthlink at The Kings Arms Alton to see how they were getting on. We kept a banana length apart - the regulation distance at the KA!
Lisa updated us on the latest news from the KA - it was great to hear that eight ReMind facilitators have been trained up in recent weeks, ready to help young people learn strategies to deal with anxiety.
Because of the outstanding generosity from our local community they have been able to open to support some of our young people through this difficult time. The centre is now furnished and carpeted, has a mentoring room, discussion zones and a kitchen.
The Kings Arms Youth project is a charity that works to support the emotional, physical and mental wellbeing of young people through centres in Alton and Petersfield.
At Styles & Associates we have been raising funds to support The Kings Arms - so far we have already been able to present a cheque for £300.
